Inspection principle of stamped parts

2022-10-10 15:41:28

Kunshan stamping parts manufacturer explains the inspection principle of stamping parts

Firstly, use clean gauze to wipe the surface of the outer cover clean, and then polish it with an oilstone (20 × 20 × 100mm or larger). For areas with arcs and difficult to reach areas, use relatively small oilstones (such as 8 × 100mm semi-circular oilstones) to polish

The selection of oil stone particle size depends on the surface condition (such as roughness, galvanizing, etc.). Suggest using fine-grained oilstone. The direction of oil stone polishing is basically along the longitudinal direction, and it fits well with the surface of the stamped part. Some special areas can also be supplemented with horizontal polishing.

Wipe the surface of the outer cover clean with clean gauze. Use a flexible sand mesh to tightly adhere to the surface of the stamped part and polish it longitudinally until the entire surface is covered. Any dents or indentations will be easily detected.

Wipe the surface of the outer cover clean with clean gauze. Use a clean brush to evenly apply oil in the same direction to the entire outer surface of the stamped part. Inspect the stamped parts that have been coated with oil under strong light. It is recommended to place the stamped parts vertically on the vehicle body. This method can easily detect tiny bumps, dents, and ripples on stamped parts.

Visual inspection

Visual inspection is mainly used to discover visual abnormalities and macroscopic defects in stamped parts.

Inspection tool testing

Place the stamped parts into the inspection tool and inspect them according to the operating requirements of the inspection tool manual.

Production issues and safety production

In actual production, process tests similar to the stamping process are commonly used to test the stamping performance of materials, such as deep drawing performance tests, bulging performance tests, etc., to ensure the quality of finished products and high pass rates.

In the case of producing dozens or hundreds of stamped parts per minute, completing processes such as feeding, stamping, discharging, and waste disposal in a short period of time often leads to personal, equipment, and quality accidents. Therefore, safety production in stamping is a very important issue.

During the stamping process of general workpieces, especially in cold forging and stamping processes, the temperature will quickly rise, and lubrication products must be added for lubrication. If lubrication is not used and stamping, welding, and assembly are carried out directly, parts without oil on the surface are easy to weld and assemble. Research and practice have shown that Aimeike has achieved excellent results in the application of metal inert gas arc welding, tungsten gas shielded arc welding, and resistance welding.
